Texter pleads guilty in fatal accident
The 19- year- old woman whose alleged texting and driving caused a car crash that killed a 77-year-old woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to criminal vehicular homicide.
The 19 year old also has been charged with a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.
Court records said the 19 year old received or sent 15 text messages in the minutes before the collision, which occurred about 8: 30 a. m. The vehicle crossed the centerline and hit an oncoming car. The drive of the oncoming vehicle died from injuries due to the accident.
